New advancements in technology have resulted in the production of Swift Microwave therapy for warts (verruca). Developed by leading dermatologists and podiatrists in the UK, this advanced treatment is now available at Central City Podiatry with our Podiatrists.
Warts are a common infection in the skin caused by HPV (Human Papilloma Virus) but are notoriously difficult to get rid of.
Swift is a medical microwave that works by creating heat shock in the cells to produce an immune response and fight off the virus which causes the wart. A precise probe is used on the lesion and heats to 42-45 degrees to cause cell disruption.
Traditional treatment methods have success rates of between 6 to 60% however Swift has a proven success rate of 83%!
